Many web design projects are not designed with DDA 2005 compliance in mind. Good web design companies try to adhere to W3C standards which adheres to DDA. If a web design company follows W3C standards they are likely to create search engine friendly web design providing a sound base for a SEO campaign. We feel that it is only a matter of time before litigation takes place by someone is disadvantaged by poor accessibility or usability. Most web design now use cascading stylesheets (CCS) which are very accessible. For many businesses it comes down to deciding what proportion of the target market they will lose if web design is inaccessible and then looking at the risk/reward.
