A typical 4 stage User Centred Web Design process may be set out as follows:
Analysis, Design, Implementation & Deployment
User Centred Design is an iterative process and, therefore, requires an elements of testing and redesign. The emphasis of using a User Centred Web Design methodology is to focus upon the end users throughout the whole design process to ensure that their needs are met.
Four main activities form this iterative design cycle:
1) Specifying the way that people will use the system. This is essentially task orientated.
2) Mapping the tasks to overall business objectives.
3) Creation of web design solutions for testing.
4) Evaluating the design solutions with real end users.
