Consumers search the internet looking for products or services. The first step is to load Google, second step type in a search term or keyphrase, third step clickthrough to a website, forth step back to Google, fifth step clickthrough to another website. So the Google searcher is likely to visit the top few websites on the first page of Google. If your website is relevant to their search terms, is simple to use and engages them then your website is likely to become part of the consideration set. The truth is that searchers have choice, it is easy to exit a website back to Google to re-initiate a search. Searchers are, therefore, likely to consider three or four websites.
